Hozac Blackout Saturday Part 1
Continuing my 2012 Hozac Blackout festival coverage in Chicago. Saturday was quite the long day of photography. First shot was around noon and the last at just about 2 am. For this reason I’ll break up Saturday into two parts.
Here’s the first.
I love football and am indeed quite ready for some.
How these guys don’t have to constantly replace their instruments is beyond me.
Coffin Pricks played too
Paul Cary did a solo thing in the front room. Really quite good.
We got to the Empty Bottle just in time to hear Alex’s distinct voice from all the way outside. Luckily only missed like one song. Glad to ‘cuz their set was a highlight of the weekend.
More broken gear
The Barreracudas record might be one of my favorites. Saw them last year in SF and was stoked to see them again at the Blackout. Definitely a highlight for me. My friend Dan bought the cd and we listened to it several times in his car going way too fast. Which was also a highlight.
Ketamines came all the way from Calgary
I missed Far-Out Fangtooth because I had to eat. Stupid nutrition.
That’s all for now. Stay tuned for more saturday Blackout goodness including Redd Kross!!!!!!!
